TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RESERVATION:

A deposit of 50% of the accommodation at Cornerstone Manor B&B is to be prepaid on reservation. Reservations made within 14 days of arrival will be charged for in full at the time of booking. This deposit for online reservations will be paid via Paybridge (using your credit card). NO reservation will be confirmed without proof of deposit paid. In the event of non-payment of a deposit, Cornerstone Manor reserves the right to cancel any bookings without notice or liability to the client. Please note proof of payment is the clients’ responsibility. Rates are inclusive of breakfast. Cornerstone Manor is not VAT registered.  Double rates are per person sharing. 

No pets allowed. Tourism levy not applicable. No children under 12 years.

There is a rim-flow swimming pool and Boma area which is for guest use only.

Cornerstone Manor B&B has a strict NO SMOKING policy.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Non Arrival = No Refund
Less than 2 weeks notice - No Refund of Reservation fee 
2 to 4 weeks notice -  50% Refund of Reservation fee (100% of deposit)

4 weeks or more notice - Subject to a 10% Handling Fee

SPECIAL RATES may be subject to a 100% cancellation fee


In the event of no show or late cancellation, the total cost of the reservation will be charged. We recommend that all guests carry travel insurance to cover the cancellation fees.

 

BREAKFAST:

Breakfast is served in the dining room between 7am and 9am.

We are not Halal or Kosher, but we do serve a variety of breakfast options. 

Please advise us if you have any special dietary requirements and we will do our best to accommodate you. 

 

 

INTRODUCTION AND GENERAL PROVISIONS

Your reservation and the accommodation agreement made with Cornerstone Manor B&B will be subject to the Reservation Terms and Conditions and the Reservation Privacy Policy set out below.  When you make your reservation, whether online or by telephone, you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these Reservation Terms and Conditions and the Reservation Privacy Policy.

If you make your reservation via a travel agent, or other third party, then you have a separate legal relationship with that party and Cornerstone Manor B&B has no liability for any acts or omissions of such party including their observance of your data protection rights. When you make your reservation, you will be also deemed to have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions for using the Cornerstone Manor website ( www.cornerstonemanor.com ) and any relevant terms and conditions shall be deemed to be incorporated into your reservation and the accommodation agreement.  

 

RESERVATIONS PROCEDURE AND POLICIES

1. Online reservations

On completion of the reservation process the Reservations Facility will transmit an online confirmation of your reservation.  A reservation is only valid when a reservation number has been issued, and your deposit payment has been received.

2. Rates 

The rates indicated on the Cornerstone Manor website are subject to availability. Breakfast, additional services and taxes are only included if indicated in the rate policy, and referenced on your reservation. 

3. Payment

It will be necessary for you to provide credit card details to secure a room reservation.  The credit card may then be used by Cornerstone Manor for payment of a deposit as advised at the time of booking or as a guarantee for a future payment, in the case of a no-show, a cancellation or change to the reservation. Cornerstone Manor uses a third-party payment gateway, Paybridge, to collect payments online. 

4. Cancellations and Amendments

You should make any cancellations or amendments to your reservation using the same channel through which you booked, either online or by telephone.  The cancellations and amendments policy that applies to your reservation will depend on the respective policy as advised at the time of booking. Special rates may be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.

Any refunds due will be made via the same payment channel as the funds were received.

5. Rate/Reservation Validity

Reservation confirmations are provided to you solely for your convenience.  Cornerstone Manor retain official records of reservation transactions, including details of dates of stay and room rates. In the event of discrepancies, alterations, modifications, or variations between this confirmation and our official records, Cornerstone Manor’s official records shall prevail. Tampering with this confirmation to alter the room rate or any other reservation information is strictly prohibited and will have legal consequences.

6. Early Departure

Check out is between 7am and 10am

Cornerstone Manor B&B staff will do their best to assist you with an early departure (before 7am on the date of departure) – BY ARRANGEMENT ONLY. There is no fee charged for this but we cannot guarantee there will be staff available to assist you with any baggage before 7am. 

7. Late Arrival

Check in is between 2pm and 5pm. 

LATE CHECK IN (between 5pm and 8pm) is by arrangement only.

ARRIVALS BETWEEN 8PM AND 10PM WILL BE SUBJECT TO A LATE ARRIVAL FEE OF R250.  ARRIVALS AFTER 10:30PM. WILL BE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION.

8. Currency

Reservations will be charged in the hotel’s local currency as shown on the website or given over the telephone at the time of booking.  Any currency conversion is for guidance only.  Any deposits or pre-payments will be deducted from the final reservation invoice in the hotel’s local currency. A refund of a deposit or prepayment, if any, will be subject to the exchange rate applied by your payment card provider at the time of any such refund and may differ from the exchange rate applied at the time such deposit or prepayment was made.

9. Rate Requirements

As some rates have special requirements at check-in, you should verify that you qualify for the rate that you have reserved.  Cornerstone Manor is not obligated to honor this rate if you do not qualify or do not have proof of qualification.

10. Pre-paid Reservations

Some reservations require prepayment in full and are non-cancellable, non-refundable, non-changeable and non-transferable. This will be identified in the rate description.  For these rate plans, once you make a reservation your credit card will be charged for the full amount. Credit will not be given for any unused reservation and the amount paid by you for such reservation cannot be used toward any other/future reservation.

11. Guarantee Rules

Cornerstone Manor may authorize the room rate prior to arrival and reserve funds on the credit card provided to determine the validity of the credit card.  Rooms booked with an invalid credit card are subject to immediate cancellation.

12. Guest’s Obligations

You agree to the terms and conditions of purchase imposed by Cornerstone Manor B&B.  You also agree that you are fully responsible and shall pay for all charges, fees, duties, taxes, assessments and other amounts arising out of your reservation when due, including additional taxes and fees that may not be included in the quoted rate.

You understand that any violation of the conditions of stay at Cornerstone Manor may result in cancellation of your reservation and you forfeiting any monies paid for such reservation and Cornerstone Manor debiting your account for any costs it incurs as a result of such violation.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

Our Reservation Privacy Policy (set out below) will apply to your reservation and forms part of these Reservation Terms and Conditions.

14. Force Majeure

Cornerstone Manor B&B cannot be held liable for any change or cancellation of any reservation that is caused, in whole or in part, by events, occurrences, or causes beyond our control. Such events, occurrences, or causes could include, without limitation: Load shedding, water restrictions, weather, strikes, riots, acts of God, and or fire.

15. Limitations

Cornerstone Manor may cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a user has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.

16. Governing Law 

These Reservation Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa and the courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute in relation thereto.

RESERVATION PRIVACY POLICY

In order to complete your reservation we need to collect the following personal data as part of the reservation process:

  • your first and last name;

  • your email address;

  • your country of residence

  • details of your payment card including the card number, cardholder name, expiry date and CVV number.

  • your postal address (home or business);

  • preferred contact telephone number.

The personal data you provide us with in the course of the reservation process will be referred to in this Reservation Privacy Policy as the Reservation Data.

We do not share your information with any third party and no credit card information is stored on our system or retained in any form by Cornerstone Manor B&B.

Cornerstone Manor B&B cannot be held responsible for any information the client has provided to or shared with any third party or booking agent in the reservation process.
